not much to say
just see the light
of a brand new day

freedom of thought
voyage uncharted
adventure sought
no real purpose
no real meaning
no real message
you should be gleaning

i just play
put my best foot forward
then decide to stay

for not trying hard
just empty your head
like a poet - bard

as i feel i am
you'll break down the walls
like a battering ram
don' want to be deep
there's no time for that
don't want to keep
it under my hat
let's watch thoughts forming
as thunderclouds storming
lay back
look to the sky
taste the fruit of life
from a blade of grass
pass the glass
forget about strife
with some luck
rise from the muck
stand on your own
two feet
a wink or a nod
or an outstretched hand
for people we meet
on the street
