a glimmer in the past

a flash in the pan of trouble

a beam of sunshine

obscured by clouds

yet not so elusive at the time

knew where to find her

‘til she disappeared

years and storms have passed

reflections, some rays of warmth

and now some light

but trapped behind a glass of pain

as storms loom in the distance

we need a gust of wind

perhaps a blast

to shatter the thin wall

between us

better still, a gentle breeze

to sway the glass of pain

so you may drift lightly

landing near me

on your feet again
